Windows Defrag Service Disable

If you are using Windows for the VPS you have, please follow these instructions to disable the Defrag Service, as it will lead to degraded performance.

Defrag is not needed on FLASH storage drives and it is also not recommended for VM's.

 

First log in to your Windows VPS and start the Defrag APP:

 

 

Check if the service is ON, if it is, proceed to the next step:

 

 

Click on "Change Settings" and uncheck "Run on a schedule" box:

 

 

Confirm with OK, and check if the service setting is now OFF:

 

Done, you can close the app, windows Defrag has been deactivated.
