Service Suspension Rules, Malicious Activities & Other Policies

This policy forms part of the HOST-C Terms of Service and defines the rules governing service usage, billing behavior, abuse prevention, and infrastructure protection.

1. Account Information & Identity Verification

Clients must provide accurate and verifiable personal information when registering an account.

Required information

  • Full legal name

  • Residential address

The following are not accepted

  • P.O. Boxes

  • Mail forwarding services

  • Non-residential addresses

Account information must accurately reflect the identity of the account holder and the payment method used.

Accounts containing false, misleading, or unverifiable information may be suspended or terminated.

HOST-C reserves the right to request identity verification or additional information when fraud indicators are detected.

1.1 VPN & Proxy Restrictions

To protect our platform from fraud and automated abuse, registration and payment actions should originate from the client's normal internet connection.

The use of VPN services, proxy services, anonymization networks, or similar technologies during account registration or payment processing may trigger automated fraud detection systems.

If such activity is detected:

  • The order or payment may be flagged for manual review

  • Services may be temporarily suspended pending verification

  • Additional identity verification may be requested

Failure to respond to verification requests within the required timeframe may result in service termination or account restrictions.

1.2 Multiple Accounts & Circumvention

Creating new accounts in order to bypass service suspension, fraud review, or account restrictions is prohibited.

HOST-C reserves the right to suspend or terminate any related accounts associated with previously restricted or abusive activity.

2. Billing & Payment Rules

All services are provided on a prepaid basis, unless explicitly agreed otherwise in writing.

Invoice issuance

Invoices are issued 10 days prior to the due date for each active service.

Payment suspension

Services are automatically suspended if invoices remain unpaid past the due date.

A late fee may be applied starting 1 day after the due date, depending on the service type.

Service deletion

Suspended services are permanently deleted within 15 days of the due date if payment is not received.

This includes deletion of all associated data and backups, which cannot be recovered under any circumstances.

Inactive accounts

Accounts with no active services may be automatically deleted after 120 days of inactivity.

3. Clarification: Suspension vs Service Termination

Payment suspension is a billing state and does not automatically imply service termination or account closure.

However, if during routine verification HOST-C detects inconsistent or suspicious account information, services may be temporarily suspended while additional verification is requested.

Examples may include (but are not limited to):

  • Mismatched geographic information
(for example a city listed as New York while the country is Denmark)

  • Clearly inaccurate or incomplete contact information

  • Billing information inconsistent with the payment method

  • Indicators commonly associated with fraudulent registrations

In such cases:

  • HOST-C staff will notify the client through the support ticketing system

  • Additional clarification or documentation may be requested

Clients are required to respond within two (2) business days.

Failure to respond within this timeframe may result in:

  • Permanent service termination without refund, or

  • Services being marked for termination at the end of the current billing period, bypassing the standard payment suspension lifecycle.

4. Payment Fraud Prevention

HOST-C uses multiple fraud detection mechanisms, including:

  • Detection of fake account patterns

  • Inconsistent geolocation data

  • Payment verification systems

  • Behavioral analysis

Customers must ensure that:

  • Account information is accurate and up-to-date

  • Payment details correspond with the account holder’s identity

4.1 Excessive Failed Payment Attempts

If an unusually high number of failed payment attempts is detected for the same invoice or account, this may be interpreted as potentially abusive or fraudulent activity.

In such situations:

  • The account may be flagged for internal review

  • One or more services may be temporarily suspended

  • The account may be locked if fraudulent activity is confirmed

Account locking represents a worst-case outcome and typically occurs when the account holder fails to respond to verification requests.

4.2 Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

If a payment dispute or chargeback is initiated, the associated services may be temporarily suspended while the dispute is reviewed.

Accounts involved in active payment disputes may be temporarily restricted from placing new orders until the dispute is resolved.

Clients are strongly encouraged to contact HOST-C support first through the ticketing system, as most billing issues can be resolved without involving the payment processor.

HOST-C reserves the right to recover any fees, penalties, or administrative costs associated with chargebacks if the reasons stated in the dispute are determined to be unfounded.

5. Malicious Activity Policy

HOST-C enforces a zero-tolerance policy for malicious activities, including but not limited to:

  • Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks

  • Port scanning

  • Unauthorized access attempts

  • Exploiting vulnerabilities in other systems

  • Any activity that compromises the integrity of our infrastructure or other customers' services

If such behavior is detected:

  • The client will be notified

  • The affected service will be immediately suspended

  • No refunds will be issued

Severe cases may lead to immediate service termination and account closure.

6. CPU Usage & Cryptocurrency Mining Policy

CPU-based cryptocurrency mining, or any workload resulting in continuous near-maximum CPU utilization (for example sustained 100% usage over extended periods), is not permitted on our platform.

Such workloads may negatively impact the stability and performance of shared infrastructure.

If a service is found to be constantly utilizing CPU resources at or near maximum capacity, automated monitoring systems may temporarily suspend the service.

In such situations:

  • The case will be reviewed individually

  • Resolution will take place through the support ticketing system

If additional CPU resources are legitimately required, clients are encouraged to:

  • Upgrade their service plan, or

  • Request additional resources through the client panel or support ticket

Repeated violations may result in service termination without refund.

7. Gateway Security Policy

Probing or scanning HOST-C gateway infrastructure (including port scanning or network reconnaissance) is strictly prohibited.

Violations may result in:

  • Temporary IP blocking

  • Service suspension

  • Permanent VPS termination without refund in severe or repeated cases

8. Storage IO Usage Policy

Sustained IO usage at or near the maximum allocated IO bandwidth for extended periods (for example 8 consecutive hours or more) is considered abusive usage.

Enforcement actions

First violation → 24-hour service suspension
Second violation → 3-day service suspension
Third violation → Permanent termination without refund

Clients are responsible for:

  • Monitoring resource usage

  • Implementing workload limits and automation where necessary

9. Infrastructure Protection

HOST-C reserves the right to immediately suspend, limit, or isolate any service that threatens the stability, security, or performance of the platform.

Situations may include, but are not limited to:

  • Excessive resource consumption

  • Infrastructure-impacting misconfigurations

  • Security incidents

  • Automated abuse activity

  • System behavior that negatively impacts other customers

These actions may be taken without prior notice when necessary to protect platform integrity.

10. Official Communication

Official notifications regarding:

  • service suspension

  • fraud verification

  • abuse reports

  • infrastructure incidents

will be delivered through the HOST-C client area ticketing system.

Clients are responsible for monitoring their client area and responding to support tickets within required timeframes.
